Safari Itinerary

DAY 1

Into the Heart of the Serengeti

Your adventure begins with a morning flight from Zanzibar to Arusha (approx. 1.5 hours) or Central Serengeti Seronera Airstrip. Upon landing, you’ll be met by your professional safari guide and begin your first game drive right away, heading toward your camp. The Central Serengeti is famous for its sweeping grasslands dotted with granite kopjes—perfect lookout points for predators. The Seronera Valley, in particular, offers some of the best year-round wildlife viewing in Africa, home to lions, leopards, elephants, and large herds of wildebeest and zebra.

Serengeti National Park Safari & Journey to Ngorongoro

After an early breakfast, set out for another exciting morning game drive in the Central Serengeti. Track the movements of predators and grazers with your guide, and gain insight into the seasonal patterns of the Great Migration. Later in the day, begin your scenic drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (approx. 4–5 hours / 150 km). Along the way, enjoy the changing scenery from endless plains to the lush highlands near the crater rim. For a cultural touch, you may choose to visit a traditional Maasai village (optional, extra cost) and learn about their customs and way of life.

Ngorongoro Crater & Return to Zanzibar

After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater—one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five in a single day. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a natural amphitheater brimming with wildlife, including lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, and more. The crater’s diverse landscape of forest, grassland, and lakes makes for a truly unforgettable safari experience. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the crater, surrounded by wildlife. In the afternoon, ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha (approx. 4 hours / 190 km), where you’ll catch your evening flight back to Zanzibar (approx. 1.5 hours). As you return to the island, you’ll carry with you the memories of incredible wildlife encounters and the timeless beauty of Tanzania’s northern circuit.
