Safari Itinerary
DAY 1
Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport – Transfer to Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by a professional guide from Velam Tours. After a short welcome and safari briefing, you’ll begin your journey with a relaxing drive to Arusha, a vibrant town nestled at the foot of Mount Meru. Along the way, enjoy your first glimpses of Tanzanian life and lush highland scenery.

DAY 2
Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After an early breakfast, drive through Maasai country to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s hidden gems. This park is known for its giant baobab trees, vast savannahs, and large elephant herds. Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch, spotting wildlife such as lions, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, and over 500 species of birds. In the evening, head to your lodge for a warm meal and a restful night.

DAY 3
Tarangire – Serengeti National Park (Central Serengeti)
Today, depart early for the iconic Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route. The drive is scenic and dramatic, offering glimpses of rural life and wildlife along the way. Upon entering the Serengeti, you’ll enjoy a game drive through the Central Serengeti (Seronera), known for its resident big cats and rich biodiversity. Arrive at your tented camp in time for dinner under the stars.

DAY 4
Central Serengeti – Hot Air Balloon Safari & Game Drive
Rise before dawn for a once-in-a-lifetime hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti. Watch the sun rise over the golden plains and spot wildlife from above—a magical experience that ends with a champagne breakfast in the bush. Spend the rest of the day on game drives in the Seronera Valley, one of the best places to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, and elephants year-round. Return to camp for dinner and your final night in the Serengeti.

DAY 5
Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – Departure
After an early breakfast, depart the Serengeti and head toward the Ngorongoro Crater for your final safari experience. Descend 600 meters into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera for a half-day game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to a dense concentration of wildlife, including endangered black rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, lions, and flocks of flamingos around Lake Magadi. Enjoy a picnic lunch within the crater before continuing your drive back to Arusha. You'll be dropped off at Kilimanjaro International Airport in time for your onward flight or return home.
