DAY 2

Tarangire-National-Park-750x450

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast (around 7:30 AM), your safari guide will arrive at your hotel and notify the reception of their arrival. Once you’ve met your driver-guide, you’ll begin the journey to Tarangire National Park. By approximately 10:00 AM, you’ll be enjoying your first game drive through one of Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Tarangire is famous for its thriving population of elephants, often seen near the Tarangire River, their main water source. Along with elephants, you’re likely to see zebras, giraffes, lions, buffaloes, and more. The park’s landscape, adorned with majestic baobab trees, adds to its wild, picturesque charm. While sightings of specific animals can't be guaranteed, your experienced guide will use their expertise and maintain radio contact with other vehicles in the area to help locate wildlife, including elusive or rare species. You’ll pause midday for a packed lunch at a scenic picnic site inside the park, then continue exploring through the afternoon. As the day winds down, you’ll be transferred to your lodge for dinner and overnight rest. Important Notes for Your First Safari Day: To ensure both your safety and the protection of the environment, please keep the following in mind: Stay inside the vehicle at all times unless your guide confirms it's safe to exit in a designated area. Violations can result in heavy fines and may impact your operator’s permit. Off-road driving is prohibited, as it causes harm to the natural ecosystem. Smoking is allowed only with great caution. Be sure to fully extinguish and properly dispose of cigarette butts—fires are a serious risk in dry savanna environments. Please avoid putting your feet on the seats or sitting on their backs to help maintain the condition of the vehicle for all guests. Thank you for following the rules and contributing to the protection of Tanzania’s natural heritage!

Lake Eyasi

Day Trip to Lake Eyasi & Hadzabe Cultural Experience You'll begin the day with an early wake-up call, followed by breakfast at your lodge. Shortly after, you’ll set out on a journey to Lake Eyasi, a secluded, scenic area nestled beneath the Rift Valley escarpment. Upon arrival, you'll visit a Hadzabe village, home to one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes in East Africa. This is a unique opportunity to observe their traditional lifestyle up close. With guidance from local members, you'll even be able to join them on a real hunting excursion, where they demonstrate ancient survival techniques passed down for generations. In the afternoon, your driver will provide packed lunch boxes for a short break and refreshment. After this cultural experience, your journey continues through the wild landscapes, and by evening you’ll arrive at your next lodge for dinner and rest.

DAY 4

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

To make the most of the day, it’s recommended to depart the hotel early, as many animals are most active in the morning. For this reason, breakfast will be provided in take-away lunchboxes. At 6:30 AM, you’ll begin your drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and within roughly an hour, you’ll descend into the world-famous crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most iconic wildlife destinations in Tanzania, renowned for its incredibly high concentration of animal species within a relatively compact area. As you explore this ancient volcanic caldera, you’ll have a chance to encounter elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, lions, hippos, and perhaps even more elusive species like caracals and serval cats. If luck is on your side, you might even spot a rare and endangered black rhino. Around midday, you’ll stop near the lakeside picnic area, where you can relax and enjoy your packed lunch surrounded by stunning views and wildlife. After lunch, your game drive continues as you explore more of the crater’s diverse habitats. By late afternoon, you’ll begin the drive back to Arusha, arriving at your hotel in the evening for a well-earned rest.
