DAY 1
ARRIVAL
The group arrives at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Velam Tours. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Arusha..

DAY 2
ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast (around 6:30 AM), your safari guide will arrive at the hotel and inform the front desk. Once you're ready, you'll meet your driver-guide and depart for Arusha National Park. By approximately 10:00 AM, your safari experience will begin! Upon arrival and registration at the park gate, you’ll embark on a 1.5-hour guided nature walk to the Tululusia Waterfall. Along the way, be on the lookout for buffalo, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and monkeys—all thriving within this lush and scenic landscape. After a short break at the waterfall, you'll return to your vehicle for a game drive through the park. Lunch will be served at a designated picnic site within the park. The afternoon will continue with more wildlife viewing before returning to your lodge in the late afternoon.

DAY 3
NGORONGORO CRATER
To maximize your wildlife viewing experience, departure from the lodge will be early in the morning (around 6:30 AM), with packed lunch boxes provided. You’ll head toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving at the crater floor in approximately one hour. Ngorongoro is one of Tanzania’s most celebrated and biodiverse regions, boasting the highest concentration of wildlife species per square kilometer. During your crater game drive, expect to see elephants, lions, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, buffalo, and if you're lucky, rare species like the black rhino, serval, or caracal. At midday, enjoy a scenic lunch beside the crater lake with your packed meal, then continue with a leisurely game drive before returning to your hotel in Arusha in the late evening.

DAY 4
DEPARTURE
Enjoy some rest at the hotel before your transfer to the airport. Note: Hotel check-out is at 11:00 AM. If you have a late flight, a late check-out option is available until 6:00 PM for an additional fee.

- Tented lodges are the most common type of accommodation in savannah. Many of them work on solar energy. This sometimes means bucket showers, limited wi-fi and no hair dryers, all in an effort to reduce environmental impact. We encourage you to do some basic research on the accommodations in your program to ensure the safari matches your travel style
